In the book Animal farm, the character of Napoleon is very much like Joseph Stalin because he tried to be deceptive and he was used to conquering by using death and torture to strike fear in to others.
Stalin was one of the worst dictators of all time. Americans think otherwise because he was the U.S ally in World War two. Stalin was a secretive and paranoid man. He killed people because he didn't want them to get too close to him and because they didn't paint him the proper way.("Joseph Stalin.")He had secret operations to create super soldiers and to take over other countries. The reason why he became the person he became is most likely because his mother thought he would never amount to anything and the fact that he grew up in a poor environment.("10 Things")
Stalin killed millions more than Hitler yet we overlook that because of the U.S alliance.( "Stalin,")
Stalin supported Vladimir Lenin which may have also caused his outrageous attitude. This all ties in with ''Animal Farm'' because Napoleon (the main character) also committed acts like these. For example, the way Stalin was paranoid with others just as Napoleon was paranoid with the animals alliance with snowball. Another example would be how Napoleon tried create a better farm, yet the farm became the same as it always was because the pigs had become more human than animal just as Stalin tried to make his country better yet he only succeeded in making it worse. The main points are Stalin was as bad as people can get and did horrible things to his people and country and is portrayed as Napoleon in the book "Animal farm".
